meaning which referred literally to going to market, as in shopping, or going to a market to sell goods or services.
Role and Responsibilities of a Data Anaylst
- Develop, manage and refine segmentation and profiling of customer and prospect data, working with The RoomPlaces advertising agency partner and customer data management partner. Create list selects for ad hoc and ongoing marketing campaigns. Become an expert in the Direct Marketing Database and Oracle database.
- Work with partners to ensure marketing programs are designed to be measured, including specification of appropriate control groups and tracking approaches.
- Generate standard and customized reports from the data systems.
- Work with IT and partners to identify needs for additional data tracking and implement appropriate solutions Identify, quantify and resolve data discrepancies to ensure high accuracy data capture and analysis.
- Analyze individual marketing programs in order to determine effectiveness and improve future initiatives. Deliver enterprise-wide analysis that tracks and measures focus messaging and other broad initiatives in order to inform long-term strategy design.
- Understand data related questions, from Marketing team members and others, and translate them into executable inquiries and conduct the analysis.
