Sales Manager Job Description
A sale is the pinnacle activity involved in selling products or services in return for money or other compensation. It is an act of completion of a commercial activity.
The functions of sales management include planning, organizing and controlling of activities related to recruitment, selection, supervising, motivating and evaluating the performance of sales force.
Role and Responsibilities of a Sales Manager
- Establish market/ competitor/ target client research
- Guide & direct thought leadership & other sales campaign initiatives to support image development & demand generation
- Leading the planning & execution of joint marketing & communication programs with alliance partners
- Manage market services resources & third party service providers (e.g. approved agencies, designers, writers & media / PR agencies)
- Track metrics to assess effectiveness of marketing programs & initiatives.
- Plan & manage investment &/ or operations budget items.
- Ensure that all global marketing policies & procedures are followed.
