Role and Responsibilities of a VP of Marketing

1. Business skills: Applies a broad-based understanding of key business fundamentals and demonstrates the experience to grow a successful medium-sized online and offline marketing agency.
   
   
2. Marketing knowledge: Understands the practice of marketing and can develop and mentor marketing skills in a team. Contributes to and advises clients and teams on the development of successful campaigns for marketing technology.
   
   
3. Client relations: Effectively leads a team to translate client requirements into marketing proposals and specifications that demonstrate an understanding of the clients business needs and desire for a timely, cost-effective, and value-added response.
   
   
4. Talent management: Focuses on assessing individual and organizational skills and talent, selecting the best people to build leadership strength, and gives firm and visible support to the performance management and development of overall workforce capability.
   
   
5. Communication: Presents ideas articulately so that others understand them and encourages others to share ideas for the benefit of many. Uses effective listening skills to promote the free flow of information and open communication.
